Moving Vehicles
|
Your first or second most valuable asset is your car. Relocating can be stressful enough without having to worry if your car will make it. Our vehicle shipping information will help you move your car or recreational vehicle.
Planning
Moving cars and large recreational vehicles can be a real challenge. |

If there is even a chance that you will want to include vehicles in your move, tell your La Rosa Del Monte representative at the time of the estimate. These large items should definitely not be left as a last minute addition. They require special handling and planning.
Pre-Move Preparation
There is little preparation for a car:
Make sure valuable items are removed. For instance,
never put the title in the glove compartment.
Car must be empty. Only with spare, jack, and
jack wrench
You should leave some gasoline in the tank. However,
it is recommended that the car be loaded with
no more than half a tank of gas.
Recreational Vehicles & Gas
Fueled Tools
Recreational vehicles are very popular and another item you'll want to consider
when planning a move. If you own any, be sure to let your mover know in advance.
They'll want to be prepared to handle them. As always, be sure gasoline is drained
before loading:
-Motorcycles
-Mini-bikes
-Mopeds
-Scramblers
-Dune buggies
-All Terrain Vehicles
-Jet Skis
-Snowmobiles
-Etc.
Any gas-powered tool should also be drained of gasoline or other combustible
fuel. Blades should be secured and wrapped for handling. Safety locks should
be engaged. Examples include:
-Tractors
-Lawnmowers
-Gas grills
-Gas trimmers
-Snow throwers
-Gas or kerosene heaters
Complete a detailed evaluation
Before turning vehicles over, you'll want to know what damage it may already
have, i.e. scratches, dents, etc. The carrier will complete a Vehicle Descriptive
Inventory. On it they will note any pre-existing damage.
